As you know, I'm not a rich man. But I had these funds put aside from last year from flipping a bike or two. I have heard about many guys having to pay a grand alone to restore this type of fuel tank. I've also heard many stories of guys buying an Indian made example off ebay,, only to have to put around £600 worth of repairs into them meaning that even those can cost a grand all told....and they are not as heavy gauge as the originals. If you get a good A65 tank from India without having to put anything more in it - you are in the minority. Bonus also is that I can offset the cost of this job by selling the existing green tank and panels that are currently on the bike. Naturally I'll get better pictures when the tank and panels get to my folks place, hopefully later this week. Happy.

IMHO that is not expensive
The tank is effectively a NOS tank, the last Red SD NOS on eBay went for £500
You have the side panels and chrome tank for £1k completely refurbished

Thanks Chaps. My cosmetic goal has always been clear for this one. Nearest I can find on google images is this, although this one is wearing the bigger side panel emblems from the previous year and the smaller US tank. Question is......do I fit a grannie slicer?

Okay, messing aside this clock is a direct NOS replacement for what is already on the Beeza, it was imported from Denmark about six years ago. Repatriated if you like.
Hence for that reason I think it was very cheap for what it is. Came from the legendary Vale Onslow (ebay shop). Bet it smells wonderful in the box.

Those triumph bezels screw off are you thinking of replacing the clock face or putting an EU sticker on the back of the bike 🏍️
