The truth Lord Beer, is even more funny. I did once receive the message from Manchester Barton aerodrome " This is a very late call Golf Romeo Romeo. We are using runway 27 and suggest you expedite your landing, we are in the middle of our airshow. We are also expecting the Red Arrows in 30 seconds "....

Oh how we laughed 😅 😳😳 ... afterwards.

😄 you mean you gave way to the Red Arrows, I feel such a situation will not reoccur, I will have suitable smoke pods, and the flag of Beerhalla dispatched for immediate fitment to thy bird 👍

Next stage (Keep awake at the back please), all that lovely bling needed flatting back with 1500 wet and dry with plenty of soapy water and a bit of scotch brite. This clears any hint of orange peel and provides a great key for both the decals and then the clear gloss. After that the rather worrying job of applying the decals. This is where some people have told me that they buggered up a perfectly good set of decals or even the paint job, so this is how I do it. First, build a bike





If you try to fit them on the bench, when you fit the bits to the bike they will be all over the place. Next gather your tools. This job should also only be done after the paint has fully cured (Which is why I am not doing the tank yet).




I begin by cutting out (To the edge) each decal in turn. The panels should be de-greased and wiped over with a tack cloth to clear all grease and rocks (even a small grain with stand out like a Bishop's.... under a decal). Then I use masking tape to hold them in place, and move them to the right place so you work out exactly where they need to be BEFORE peeling off the backing. I then use more tape to mark lines to again have a reference point or two for the "live run". Now it is time for a steady hand (No beer yet). Lightly allow the now peeled decal to line up with your marks and settle on the surface. DO NOT DIVE IN AND STICK IT DOWN YET. Be very gentle as it often needs to be peeled off again and lined up better. Only when you are happy, gently move down the decal and allow more to settle. When you have it all applied it should be in the right place. Only now should you use your soft cloth to apply pressure and stick it down well. DO NOT PEEL OFF THE TOP LAYER YET. The top layer will protect the decal until you are ready to spray the clear gloss and will allow you to again degrease the surface just prior to spraying. The very last thing to do then is to peel off this protective top layer to expose the decal.


























One other "gotcha" with this job is to apply the decals to the seat fairing, then apply the decal for the left side cover to the right side etc. Easy done when you have then cut out on the bench. The result is that thought they will line up, the stripes will be upside down against each other. Grey to black, not grey to grey and black to black.

Oh no, having taken thy Superdream out for a jolly this afternoon I now realise Lord Beer has a most important task, although thy bike is clean I fear it is not clean enough to do Lord Duffers work justice, many hours will be spent this evening with the polish, toothbrush and cotton buds, fortunately I enjoy such tasks and thy Beer supply is plentiful, in hindsight I really should have bought a big garage and a hammock instead of messing about with those house things, I'm rarely in it 😄

Fear not Lord Beer. There is the tank yet to complete, oh and you need to have a word with the weather gods. So far this month their work has been poor. So delivery will require an improvement as I don't suppose you fancy DHL to convey this work without damage...
I would guess you still have a few weeks to buff your metalwork. 👍

Lord Beer did request and did indeed receive such help from the God's, unfortunately Betty, the God's no.1 cleaner, was unfamiliar with such motorcycle contraptions and proceeded to jam her feather dusty into one of the silencers, the work to retrieve thy duster was long and hot work, much thrusting and pulling was required, the God's have now decreed that Lord Beer stay at least 50ft away from employees of the God's, I was only trying to help 🤔😁
