DFS has a problem with seepage. No, not from there, well at least I don't think so. No, his tank leaks. So could I have a look, which roughly translated means fix it Steve. So out came the wire wheel to see what is under the paint.

The "magic". OK, it's just a light coat of black aerosol. As you use a rubber block to rub the primer down, it gives you a visual indication of the rough bits and low spots. When it's all gone, it is perfectly flat. Sneaky eh?
