to be honest I'm thinking silvers just get them off cms (trade deal maybe, I'd guess they wait until they have a 500 euro order and then place it?) and they are a supersession part (I thought they were flange head too)

I'd say 50/50 from new. I've had SD's with both types fitted over the years, all original fitment as all were rusty.

So do the non flange have washers? J'know, from memory I don't think they do. If they do, the washers are part of the assembly i.e designed to not come away from the bolt.
